My best bargain lately was getting the card game "Pictureka" for a dollar at Target. I got one for us, and another for my niece and nephew for Christmas.
Trisha is the winner of the $25 gift card and one day pass and the other 4 winners will receive a 1 day pass. Please get back to me with your mailing addresses within 24hrs so I can have these mailed to you in time for the Big Clip event.
Thanks to all who entered and shared their bargains! I love to read about your savings:) I have one last giveaway to complete so check back soon for that(3 winners).
Time to Reload!
It's time to head over to cellfire and add the latest new e coupons to your Kroger family of stores card! Just in time for the last week of the Mega Event. I highly recommend adding all of the available coupons so you don't miss out when a great sale comes a long. You have 2 weeks to load them and 2 more weeks after that to use them.
In addition to the usual e coupons, some new ones have been released. These are for progresso soup and broth, toaster strudels, and old el paso products. All of these (except the broth) are part of the Mega Event.
When you are finished loading the cellfire coupons be sure to check shortcuts for any new coupons too.
And don't forget, the printable sites reset print limits and release new coupons on/around the first of the month. Print any you think you may need now, just in case they disappear when the newbies are released. Make sure you have plenty of ink and paper too. I hate when a great coupon comes out but I can't print because I'm out of ink!
Printables can be found here, here, here, here, here, here, and here and also at the sites listed on my left sidebar under More Sites with Printables.

2nd Round @ The Kroger Mega Event
I waited for the e-coupons I redeemed Monday to be removed from my card so I could add more. Normally cellfire only puts out new coupons every two weeks, but when I checked the site the night before shopping 8 more coupons were available for me to load. So I loaded the new ones and made my list. Those new ones did NOT come off at the register! How annoying:( And after I was so impressed they all worked like they should on Monday, lol.
You can find all the coupons I used here, here, here, here, here, and here as well as in the past few weeks/months newspaper inserts. Load your card up with e-coupons here and here.
Prices are after the Mega Event discount(.50 cheaper than shelf price).

Pregnancy Update 35W
Recently I got the nesting bug, so I was not too shocked about my appointment today. I went in for an ultrasound, Non Stress Test (NST), and a visit with the doctor to discuss the impending c-section.
He insist a VBAC is like suicide and he isn't willing to help someone do that(Yes, he is nuts). When I asked what the risk of trouble(uterine rupture/death) is with VBAC he said 1%. I almost laughed in his face but I remained straight faced. I don't really feel like fighting or finding a new doctor at this point so I will follow the very goofy doctors orders.(This conversation was last week)
Any way, back to todays appointment. My ultrasound looked great. Baby has tons of hair, and tons of chubbiness! She is measuring in the 84% and weighs approximately 6.5lbs. The size prediction using ultrasound can be off by a few pounds, but I think the technician who did mine is pretty darn good at her job. She is the same one who did my ultrasound with my last child. 14hrs before he was born she said he was 9lb 3oz and he was actually 9lb 1oz.
The thickening at the back of the neck is very small now, but I will most likely request a chromosomal test on her once she is born to ease my mind. That is unless it is very apparent she does have Turner's or Down's syndrome at birth. From all the u/s I have had done I don't think it will be obvious if she does.
Face Pics
After the u/s I was supposed to see the doctor to finish setting the c-section date. Unfortunately, he was out delivering two babies at two different hospitals so I saw the nurse.
Before seeing the nurse I had my NST. The baby was very active(she always is). I also had 5 contractions in the 20-30 minutes I was hooked up to the machine. Over the weekend I just thought the baby was trying to stretch out-LOL! They were very regular so the nurse checked my cervix. I am a finger tip open and thick. I was told to lay down on my side and drink water if the contractions persist. Between 35 weeks and 37 weeks the hospital will try to stop labor(though not very hard), but after 37 weeks they wont.
So now my urge to clean/declutter and stock up is 10x greater than before. I still have so much to do this week to get ready for school and get ready for baby. I also haven't even started on buying school supplies for the school district with the gift card Meijer provided.
I still need a name for this kiddo too! I am being stubborn and insisting on an "I" first name and an "A" middle name. Every name I come up with my husband criticizes but he has no suggestions:( If you have some I would be more than happy to "hear " them! The name "Isabella" is off the table though. We have a niece who is already named that.

$30 Kroger Gift Card Giveaway *CLOSED*

As promised, here is the $30 Kroger gift card giveaway! I am so excited to be able to offer this to you, thanks to General Mills, Pepsico, and Myblogspark!
Right now Kroger is having another of their awesome Mega 10 Events. For those who don't know what that is here is an explanation:

They have lifted the old limit of 3 rewards per transaction. Now you can do this deal as many times as you need to within one transaction. I'm glad they did, it makes shopping so much easier!
I have 1 $30 gift card to give to one VERY lucky reader. I was also given a $30 gift card to see just how far I could make it stretch during this sale. So far I have spent $22.35 and have $7.65 left on my free gift card and $7 in catalinas that I earned with my free gift card to spend. My savings so far are $117.64, $56.94 in coupons. That is for 50 items! You can see the details of my trip here. I will add the link to any other trips I make during this Mega Event as I make them.
In order to enter this giveaway you need to answer one question(required)-
How much do you think you can save using this sale and only spending $30?

1st Round @ The Kroger Mega Event
I have never used so many e-coupons in one transaction- I think it was 35! And all of them came off as expected(a lot of times they don't). When I first saw this ad I was a bit disappointed and didn't think there were many deals to be had. I am so happy to be wrong!! Fair warning, much of what I bought is junk. I need the convenience right now and my daughter will want a treat in her school lunches so I don't feel too bad.
Prices are after the $5 discount
4 boxes bc supreme brownies 5.96 (1.49 each)
-2 .75/2 cfire
-2 .75/2 coupons= .62 each

-2 2.00 coupons = 3.49 each
5 bc fruit shapes 7.45 (1.49 each)
-3 .40 e coupons
-5 .40 coupons= .45 each (also received a 3.50 cat for buying 5 bc fruit snacks=free plus .25 overage each)
1 sobe life water .49

Grand total 22.35 (for 50 items)
saved 117.64, 56.94 in coupons
got back $7 in cats
So I have 14.65 left to spend at Kroger before I have to start using my own money(between the free $30 gift card from myblogspark and $7 in cats)!
I did not get everything I went in for because:
a). my cart was getting very full
b). I had both kids with me and they were starting to cause trouble(mostly the boy)
c). they hadn't put the tags up yet in the dairy/salty snacks/ frozen aisles
d). using more coupons at a time gives you a better chance of the cashier skipping some by accident
You can find all the coupons I used here, here, here, here, here, and here as well as in the past few weeks/months newspaper inserts. Load your card up with e-coupons here and here. There were a bunch of new ones at shortcuts.com when I checked last night-so many my card was full and I had to shop to make more room!
And a note about the granola bars, fruit snacks, and nut clusters- look on end caps for more of these if you don't find what you want on the shelves.
The $30 gift card giveaway is coming soon! I need to go rest my back some and then I will get it up so you have a chance to win free food too!

Wanchai Ferry Frozen Meal Review and Giveaway *CLOSED*
The review part:
*these are supposed to feed two adults. I made 2 packages of the Orange Chicken variety because I was feeding two adults and 2 kids. We had left overs, but I don't really think there would be left overs if you only made 1 package and were feeding 2 adults.
* The regular price of these meals is $7.49 at my Kroger. I haven't really paid attention to whether or not these go on sale. There is a $1.50 off coupon here and a $2.00 coupon was in a recent insert. So you can get these for $6, possibly less.
* It only took 14 minutes to make, just like the package states. Often times I find it takes longer to make these prepackaged items than they advertise, so I was very pleased with this.
* The flavor was excellent! I wish I had a little more room in my tummy so I could have ate more. Being 34 weeks pregnant makes it hard to eat much of anything without suffering the consequences!
All in all if I had to choose between going out to eat and buying one of these meals I'd go for these. They are cheaper, don't take much more work, and they taste great! Oh, and a health plus is they contain no MSG.
The Giveaway Part:
I have one Wanchai Ferry "Stay-At-Home" prize pack to give away!
The winner will receive:
2 free item coupons
Asian inspired rice bowls
chopsticks
bamboo placemats
You can win by leaving a comment letting me know which variety(s) you would try if you won
-Orange Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Sweet & Spicy Shrimp
You can get more entries by:

Kroger is running a sweepstakes on their website where you can win a years worth of gas and groceries. and then comes the price matching... What a pain it the butt! You have to purchase the item to be price matched at the registers and then do a return and rebuy at cusomer service(why not just buy and adjust at customer service to begin with?) And then your refund gets put on a Target gift card! Well she tried to put it back on my credit card but it was too soon so my card wouldn't accept it:/ I think I'll stick with Meijer for price matching from now on.
I got back 5.61 on a gift card for the price match(made .50 on the pencils)

Exciting Events This Month!
A long with my oldest child starting 1st grade(jeez, I feel so old!), trying to buy a house, and the impending arrival of our 3rd child, I have a few events planned for this blog as well!
~I will be holding at least 4 giveaways this month. The one the week of August 16th is the best so far! Be sure to check back regularly. I hope to have the first giveaway up by the end of this week.
~I also receive a $100 gift card from Meijer late last week. Originally Meijer wanted to sponsor a blog-o-sphere wide back to school campaign using it's network of bloggers. Unfortunately, that fell through due to red tape and all. Instead of letting everyone down they decided to give us each a gift card to use however we want- be it a personal shopping spree or to fulfill any commitments we may have made prior to the red tape getting in the way.
I will be using my $100 gift card to purchase backbacks, school supplies, and snacks for the Fairfield City School District. My goal is at least 5 backpacks full of most of the school supplies an average elementary student would need, with the bonus of snacks! Of course I would love to exceed this goal.
I would also like to issue a challenge to all of my readers: Fill and donate one backpack of supplies to your local school district(or family member in need). With so many unemployeed this year the need is high. This shouldn't be too hard to do for $20 or under with all the great sales!
And if you cannot do $20 because you are having troubles yourself that is okay! You can still help by giving any of your extra free to cheap items. Every pencil, notebook, pair of scissors, and folder you can give will be appreciated.

BYOB @ TGI Friday's!

Right now you can go here and print a coupon for $5 off of each entree (up to 10 people) at TGI Friday's. BYOB does not mean bring your own beer in this instance, it mean's bring your own buddy. Very cute of them, don't you think?
If you forget to print the coupon but decide you'd like to grab a bite any way while your out you can text "BYOB13" to MYTGIF and they will send your coupon to your phone.
Thanks, Rachel!
