The Review:
Myblogspark recently sent me two new Elefun and Friends Games to try out: Giraffalaff Limbo and Scatterpillar Scramble.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to try out Giraffalaff Limbo. My 22 month old boy fractured his ankle before we got a chance to:( The basic concept of the game is limbo with a silly twist.
We did play Scatterpillar Scramble. I think this game would be helpful in developing hand eye coordination. I won when playing my 6 year old, 22 month old(he was just sorting the colored balls), and my own mother. I'm pretty sure all the coupon clipping is what gave me the edge;) My daughter did find the game challenging at first, but once she really focused she was able to get all of her marbles into the crazy caterpillars hands. The game did not take long to play. If you only have short amounts of time to sit down and play with the kids before getting back to chores and errands, this game would be a good choice.
Both games are geared toward preschoolers age 4 years and up.

$4 Elefun and Friends Printable
I was planning to do a review of a couple of Elefun and Friends games today, but my little guy fractured his ankle going down a slide this afternoon. Since then we have been busy trying to keep him off of it and getting him to the doctor. A review and giveaway will be coming in the next few days.
For now you can print a $4 off coupon good for any Elefun and Friends game here. The coupon will be available until October 31st. The expiration date isn't until December 31st. There are reports of the travel sized games being $5 at Target and other retailers. I know Kohl's marks these down right after Christmas too.
$5 off Fisher Price Trio Printable
Go here to print a $5 off Fisher Price Trio playset priced at $10 or more. This is another great coupon to combine with the Meijer printable!

How to Get into Concerts Free

My favorite band recently posted a bulletin on Myspace about joining their street team. The terms they outlined were:
-Post posters around town when the band will be playing a concert near you
-post band banners on online communities
-go to other bands' concert to hand out their samplers
What benefits do you get for all of your word of mouth and time?
-You will be reimbursed for every concert you attend and pass out the bands samplers
-Meet and greet with the band when they are in your hometown, help set up signings when the band's schedule allows
-receive new music from the band first
-get into all of the band's concerts for free
If you want to know if your favorite band has a street team similar to the one I outlined above I recommend tracking them down on social networks like twitter, myspace, facebook, etc. Then, look around their pages for information on a street team. If you don't find any information try contacting them directly through these social networks and ask if they have one.
You only need to be part of one street team in order to get into all concerts free(as they will reimburse you for promoting their band at other another band's concert). If one band you like doesn't offer these perks, try another. Concerts are our favorite date nights, and being able to go to them for free would save us a ton of money.
What's your favorite date night?
And if your wondering who my favorite band is, it is Taproot:) They were my first real concert and the best I have been to so far.

Printables and E coupons
I don't know if you have been checking the printable websites lately or not, but there are tons of goodies there right now! Snapple, Wonka and Nestle candy, Starkist,Trident and Playskool toys just to name a few. Most of the good coupons make the items free to really cheap.
Go print all the coupons you think you may need in the next 30 days(except the toy coupons- they expire in January!) from Coupons.com, Redplum.com (put in your zip code to see more coupons), and Smartsource.com. These sites will reset print limits on or around the first of the month too.
Cellfire and Shortcuts have released new ecoupons as well. I usually add all of the coupons(unless I'm running low on room, then I get picky) because you never know when a great sale will come up.

Guest Post: Pantry Chicken Soup
I am always thinking of new recipes for us to try. I am fortunate where I don’t really have picky eaters, but like many of you, we tend to get sick of the same thing day after day. So here is a fantastic recipe for a chicken soup that will literally take only 30 minutes from start to finish.
This will feed a family of 4 and there should be enough for the “Seconds please” group!
· 1 large can of Premium Chicken Breast - do not strain out the water. ( I like to mix this up in a bowl before adding to the soup, to make the pieces smaller)
· Chopped celery to taste. I like a lot of celery and don’t like to measure anything. I will tend to put about 1 and ½ cups of celery into this soup.
· 1 box of Acini de Pepe Pasta.
· Salt and Pepper to taste
· 1 can Chicken Broth
· Chopped carrots if desired (or canned carrots)
*If you don’t want to the sodium in the broth, you can add water only. You won’t lose any of the taste!
The great thing about this recipe is aside from the celery; all the ingredients can be stockpiled. This is great for the cold fall or winter nights.
In a large pot place the chicken breast, broth, celery and carrots together. Fill pot with enough water, so that the ingredients are about 3 to 4 inches below the water line. Cook on medium to high until water comes to a boil. Add entire box of pasta, bring heat down to medium, stirring often.
Soup will be done as soon as the pasta has cooked through. (About 15 to 20 minutes.)
My girls have very different tastes when it comes to any additions to their soups. One will request crackers, and the other always wants Grated Parmesan Cheese. I tried this with my soup the other day. I must admit it was delicious! Looks like I know what I will be putting on my soup from now on! The picture is with the grated Parmesan already on it.Brandy blogs @ Brandy's Big Bargains. My Walmart has Mom's Best Naturals Quick Oats for .50. Use the .75 printable here to get it for free(hit the back button 3 times to print 2 per computer). Most Walmarts will allow the whole .75 to come off, so you will get paid .25 for each! Make sure you have other items to absorb the overage, it is rare that any store gives you cash back(though it does happen on occasion). Even before coupons this is a great price- I plan to make lots of apple crisp this year:)
Another good deal : Uncle Ben's Whole Grain Fast and Natural rice(14oz) is $1.84. Use the 1.00 coupon from the Oct. 11th Parade Magazine to get it for .84. This would be great for absorbing the overage from the oatmeal.

New Baby at 6 Weeks
It's hard to believe she's been here for six weeks already! She has grown so much too, she's over 11lbs already. Just look at those full cheeks!
It's taking some time to adjust to being mommy to three little ones. It doesn't help that my son is only 21 months old and isn't as articulate as his big sister was at his age! The two under two are defiantly the biggest challenge. My 6 year old is by far the easiest, though she has her moments too(you know all 6 year olds think they are 22 right?).
In addition to adjusting to the new baby, we have also been house hunting. We currently only have two bedrooms and one bathroom(which only has a shower, oh how we miss baths!). With the $8,000 tax incentive that is out right now, we are highly motivated to get a place of our own. We put in our 5th offer last night.
You would think we were asking to be given the houses the way we keep getting turned away! I truly hope to never be house hunting in an up market, I can't handle the rejection we are facing in the down one.We expect to have an answer on the latest house by Friday evening. We will stop looking if we haven't secured a house by the 15th because it would be really tough guaranteeing we close by November 30th(the cut off for the credit).
With all that's been going on I haven't had much time for couponing, deal hunting, or blogging. I am not sure when I will be back to normal on here. Every time I think I'm about ready to jump back in something new is tossed my way or the baby changes her schedule on me. I don't mind, I am just happy to have her here with us happy and healthy.
Yes, after all the worry, we learned when she was 1 week old that she is 100% normal! No chromosomal abnormalities, no down's or turner's syndrome! Thank you to everyone who prayed for our little girl and offered words of encouragement and support. I don't think I could have coped as well as I did if I did not have so many kind people to help me through.

.55/1 Snapple Printable
Snapple just released a quiz you can take on to earn a .55/1 bottle of snapple coupon on their facebook page. I'm not sure if you have to be a fan or not to access this. Here is the quiz. These often go 10/$10 at Kroger which would make them free after doubles. Hit your browsers back button a few times to print 2.
Yesterday was the 1st of the month, which means all of the printable sites have reset. Make sure you check out the coupons that are available here, here, and here (the best coupons will go fast). General Mills coupons can be found at eatbetteramerica, pillsbury, bettycrocker, and boxtops4education.
